Team Lead – Development & Engineering – Pretoria
Our Client requires the services of a Team Lead to oversee the team within the Development & Engineering department in their Technology division.
Qualifications and experience
Relevant diploma or degree
Minimum of 5 years’ experience developing .NET framework applications.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience with Microsoft SQL Server required.
Solid understanding of OO design principles and design patterns required
Five years in a managerial role with direct reports
Experience with MS Team Foundation Server (TFS) required
Experience with DevOps CI/CD would be advantageous
Experience in .NET Core would be advantageous
Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) experience beneficial.
Exposure to good coding standard practices and source code configuration management
Standard Microsoft Office efficiencies are required.
Duties and responsibilities
Deliver strategic projects on time, in budget, with the desired functionality, at the defined quality level in a sustainable way
Continuously align delivery and team strategy and planning
Maintain systems without introducing new defects
Enhance systems to support and move to new technologies
Ensure that the team follow best practice development processes and standards
Ensure that the team meet best practice criteria in testing of software
Ensure that the team effectively use development toolset
Document systems, including enhancements to facilitate knowledge sharing
Define and design architecture/technical implementation related to area of responsibility, while collaborating with other managers, team leads and architects
Effective management of all staff in the team
