Maintenance Manager – Buildings – East Rand

The Maintenance Manager ensures the effective operation of facilities and equipment by overseeing preventative and corrective maintenance schedules, managing emergency responses, and supporting strategic projects such as plant shutdowns, renovations and installations

Minimum requirements:

·        Grade 12

·        5+ years’ experience in maintenance operations

·        Valid SA Driver’s Licence and reliable transport

·        Proficient in MS Office (excel, Word, Outlook)

·        Proficient in using ERP systems for maintenance planning

·        Knowledge of plumbing and building maintenance

·        Generator and fire pump basic skills to support emergency preparedness

·        Electrical and plumbing basic skills to address minor technical issues

·        Tool handling and equipment management skills to ensure safe and efficient use of resources

·        Reporting and record-keeping skills to maintain compliance with audit readiness

·        Strong communication skills to co-ordinate with contractors, service providers and internal teams

·        Proven troubleshooting skills to resolve equipment failures quickly and effectively

·        Solid data administration skills to maintain accurate job cards, reports and maintenance logs

·        Effective negotiation skills to secure effective quotes and management procurement processes

·        Organisational skills to manage schedules, allocate tasks and monitor performance outcomes

·        Analytical skills to identify hazards, assess risks and recommend corrective actions

·        Leadership skills to enforce compliance and drive operational excellence
