Technical Sales Representative – Sensor-based Ore Sorting Technologies – Jet Park
A specialist in mining and mineral processing solutions, delivering innovative technologies and services to optimize mineral recovery and improve operational efficiency using state-of-the-art Sensor Based Ore Sorting technologies.
Role Overview -
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical understanding of mining and mineral processing operations, coupled with a proven track record in B2B sales. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, managing client relationships, and driving revenue growth across the region.
Key Responsibilities:
· Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve targets.
· Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the mining and mineral processing sectors.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
· Conduct site visits to understand client needs and recommend tailored solutions.
· Prepare and deliver technical presentations and proposals.
· Collaborate with engineering and product teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
· Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback.
· Maintain accurate records of sales activities and pipeline in CRM systems.
· Sales & Business Development
· Identify and develop new business opportunities for Sensor Based Ore sorting in the mining and mineral processing sectors.
· Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to closing deals.
· Prepare and present commercial offers, tenders, and technical proposals.
· Achieve or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
Client Relationship Management -
· Build and maintain long-term relationships with key decision-makers at mining operations, EPCMs, and OEMs.
· Conduct regular site visits to assess client needs and provide technical support.
· Act as the primary point of contact for customer queries, complaints, and after-sales service.
Technical & Product Knowledge -
· Maintain up-to-date knowledge of mineral processing equipment and associated technologies.
· Collaborate with engineering and product teams to develop tailored solutions.
· Provide product demonstrations and technical training to clients.
Market Intelligence & Reporting -
· Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies.
· Provide feedback to internal teams on market needs and product performance.
· Maintain accurate records of sales activities, forecasts, and customer interactions using CRM tools.
Compliance & Safety -
· Ensure all sales activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and health & safety standards.
· Promote environmentally responsible and sustainable solutions
Minimum requirements:
· Diploma or Degree in Mining Engineering, Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
· 3–5+ years of technical sales experience in mining, mineral processing, or heavy industrial sectors.
· Strong understanding of mineral processing flowsheets and plant operations.
· Proven ability to manage complex sales cycles and technical negotiations.
· Strong technical knowledge of mineral processing equipment and systems.
· Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
· Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Willingness to travel extensively within South Africa and neighboring countries.
· Valid driver’s licence.
Preferred:
· Experience with conveyors, screens, crushers, flotation equipment.
· Past experience related to Sensor Based Ore Sorting
· Experience in DMS or magnetic separation
· Existing network within the mining industry.
· Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot)
