Storeman – Mechanical Workshop Stores – Jet Park

Storeman required from within a Mechanical Workshop Stores environment - hand tools & equipment, spanners, pneumatic and hydraulics piping, bearings, mechanical seals, hoses and fittings lubricants, chemicals & fluids consumables & workshop Supplies; Safety & PPE Stock, paint, chemicals, steel, nuts, bolts, welding products, hand tools and accessories, pipes, steel etc

Key Responsibilities:

Issuing stock to the various companies as specified by the job card / picking slip timeously

• Receive stock from customers and suppliers; verify documentation and condition.

• Check goods inwards documentation; ensure goods received match orders.

• Assist with loading/off-loading vehicles and containers.

• Issue stock according to Job Cards or Picking Slips in a timely and accurate manner.

• Label received items and allocate them to correct bin locations.

• Follow proper picking procedures and ensure accuracy.

• Participate in quarterly and monthly stock counts, ensuring accurate variances.

• Assist with supplier returns as necessary.

• Ensure stock is properly packaged and delivery service meets standards.

• Maintain a safe, clean store environment in line with Health and Safety regulations.

• Learn and understand spares for different companies.

• Perform other duties as required to ensure effective departmental operation.

Minimum requirements:

• EB Driver’s Licence preferred.

• Minimum of 2 years experience in warehousing.

• 2+ years using Sage: GRVs, bin locations, printing labels.

• Must hold valid Forklift and Reach Truck licences.

• Strong teamwork orientation and ability to use initiative.

• High personal standards, reliable, presentable, sober habits.

• Attention to detail is essential.

• Ability to liaise at all levels and work in a fast-paced environment.
